Explorer Post

Are you interested in law enforcement as a career? Would you like to learn first-hand the procedures for arresting dangerous suspects? Would you like to know how to conduct a criminal investigation? Would you like to know more about courtroom procedures?

You can learn all of this and more by joining the City of Norton Police Department Law Enforcement Explorer Post. We meet on Thursdays at 6:00 pm at the Norton Police Department.

The Post is designed to give a person hands-on experience as a police officer. You will learn what a police officer’s job is really like through lectures, conversations with police officers, and by participating in our ride-along program. The ride-along program exposes Explorers to realistic work situations a police officer may confront while on duty. It includes classroom instructions and practical training in work situations.

In addition to learning about law enforcement, you will be joining a club that is geared toward fun and adventure.

We hope that you will be able to join us for the fun and education that awaits you in the Norton Police Department’s Explorer Post.
